Did Disney clean up the story of Sleeping Beauty?

My English teacher told us that Disney cleaned up Sleeping Beauty’s tale (and made it appropriate for kids). Is this true? Was the original story of Sleeping Beauty contain inappropriate/dirty elements?

Well, Disney did “clean up” almost every fairy tale to make it kid-appropriate, but that’s not a bad thing.

Sleeping Beauty does have a few differences from the original Brother’s Grimm story.

1.) In the movie, Maleficent wasn’t invited because King Stefan didn’t know of Maleficent. In the original story, the King did know of Maleficent, but didn’t invite her because fairies had to be served meals on golden plates, and the King didn’t have enough. And when he heard that one fairy was presumed dead, he didn’t invite her.

2.) In the movie, Maleficent wasn’t a witch, but an old fairy no one had seen in years.

3.) There were 12 good fairies, not 3.

4.) In the movie, Aurora had 16 years to live according to Maleficent curse. In the original Faerie Tale, she had 15.

5.) Princess Aurora grew up as a princess, and was never taken away from her home.

6.) On her fifteenth birthday, Aurora was left alone in her castle while her parents did some party-shopping. And while Aurora was exploring the castle she found a room where an old woman was sewing on a spinning wheel. She never saw one, and wanted to try it, but accidentally pricked her finger just like the curse foretold.

7.) Princess Aurora slept for one hundred years until a prince woke her.

8.) After Maleficent cast her curse on Aurora, she was never seen again.

Is Oil of Olay foaming facial cleasner a good product?

I currently use Mary Kay Combo/Oily facial cleasner. It’s okay, but I think my skin has adjusted to it and I am getting these little red bumps (not pimples so im not sure what they are). I took a test on OilofOlay.com and they said I should use something called “Cleasne and Clarify” foaming face wash. Anyone tried this or have any other suggestions?

I have seen this advertised on tv and the internet, and while it looks like a great thing, I am wondering if I should spend my money on this or just buy a good quality soft toothbrush and use it on my face. Any comments? Does this stuff help with age spots? I am 41 and would like to get rid of the ones that are showing already. Any answers would be appreciated.

i’ve used susan lucci essence, and no real remarkable results.. the scrub/microdermabrasion effect can be easily achieved with a cheaper st. ives apricot scrub.. i’m in my 40s, with age spots and freckles too, but what proved effective for me is a mild skin lightening soap for the hyperpigmentation, a high spf sunscreen to prevent further freckling or spotting, and arbonne antiaging products for moisturization..
