What is a good cleanser/lotion combo for oily skin?

I am 29 years old and I have severely oily skin. Not pimply. Not combination. Not blackhead-y or whitehead-y. Just plain, old, “reaching for the pressed powder every hour” oily. And most skincare these days is concerned with zits or wrinkles. I got neither!! I am desperate for good face products to keep the powder compact in my desk drawer instead of in my hand. Help?

I have had the same problem for most of my life. Make sure there is no underlying cause to start with. Things like evening primrose oil, star flower oil, and fish oil, although great for P.M.S., can exacerbate an oily skin problem. Keep your make up and skin care products oil free, but don’t make the mistake of over cleansing and using harsh products, NEVER use any alcohol based toners or other products. They dry your skin and make the oiliness worse. Your skin will produce more oil to counteract the drying effect. I found witch hazel to be one of the gentlest, most effective after cleansing toners. Use PH neutral cleansers, and use a gentle exfoliant only once a week. Use a mineral powder foundation, and throw the pressed powder in the bin, use an oil absorbing base under, before applying your make up in the morning, when you get oily during the day, Blot with a tissue, a spritz with rose hip water, then refresh your foundation, if needed, and most important, Oily skin is usually sensitive skin, so be Gentle. The irony is that once you start menopause your skin may become dry and flaky like mine is now
