Why are we using products that are so harmful that we require protection to use them? After all, you want to be able to eat off surfaces you have just cleaned, but the very same toxic chemicals that rid our homes of dirt and germs can also be toxic to ourselves!

What the manufacturers of harmful cleaning products don’t want you to know is that you can clean your home with far less toxic products, many of which you probably already own. Most chemicals that make you want to wear a gas mask are not surprisingly harmful for the environment, but you can achieve the same results using everyday things that do not require protective garments. Next time you clean, arm yourself with white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, a lemon or two and a splash of hydrogen peroxide and you are ready to clean your home the green way.

A green way to clean windows is by using a mixture of one part white vinegar to three parts warm water. To get a lemon scent, cut a lemon in half, squeeze the juice into a bucket and then plunk the rest into the solution and voila! Lemon scented window cleaner.

i would suggest proactiv, not only of what i heard,
but i use it as well. If it is not strong enough (you’ll only know after about a month and a half) then you can order the extra strength one.
it is a bit more irritating at first but works wonders.

as for makeup,
you can wear anything that is labeled as non-comedogenic,
this means it won’t block your pores.

ive been struggling with acne for a while and ive tried quite a few things…clinique ance, clean and clear etc. Nothing seems to be working for me, so im pretty sure im going to try some exspensive mumbo jumbo. Proactive is really heavily advertised, and i suppose ive just been sucked into its marketing, but it appears like it might actually work. Clean & Clear?

I’ve heard good things about clean & clear. I have dry skin but I use a moisturizer. I’m 14 and have moderate acne. I originally purchased proactive but I’ve heard bad things so I’m planning on returning it. I’m so product- confused, and i’m on a budget…can someone help?
I’ve tried nutregina (sorry can’t spell) and clerisol and neither of them worked for me. I’m depserate here! I would love to have just 2 products- one for my acne, and one as an oil- free moisturizer to help the dryness

The products you are using, are they Salsylic Acid or Benzoyl peroxide? BP can be VERY drying. I personally like SA better. Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! Try finding a face lotion with SA in it. Clean and Clear has a good moisturizer with SA and it helps keep pimples at bay. It is only about $5 a bottle and lasts about 2 months and you can get it at your local store. I have used this in the past and it works well. Personally, I use Biore products (which you get over the counter. Their products range from $5-$10). They are harsh on pimples, but not on your face.
Personally, Proactive didn’t work for me. I have been using Biore products for over a year and I hardly ever break out! Occasionally I will get one or two, but nothing bad. I use Biore Ice Cleanser for acne and Biore warming facial scrub every morning for blackheads (This stuff works. I notcied a DRASTIC diffrence in my blackeads being GONE within 2 weeks) . And then 3-4 day s a week I use Biore purging pore cream scrub. For body acne I use Neutrogena acne body wash I never break out on my body. It gets 110 in summer so sweat in inevitably, yet I never break out. Give it a try. All of it is cheap too. About $5-10 depending on what you buy! Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! I think you will just need to experiment with products until you find what works for you. Remember, it can take 1 month for products to fully begin working! Good Luck!

We currently have a full size bed. Want to upgrade to a queen, but moneywise have to do baby steps. So we need a new head/footboard first…can we get a queen sized head/footboard and use it with our full size mattress/boxspring until we get the queen size?
